The first time I was invited to Paint Grand Traverse, I stumbled upon this beautiful barn and immediately fell in love with it. However, I faced a challenge in deciding how to capture it on canvas. Surprisingly, I stumbled upon the same barn again this year. After creating a few small sketches, I realized that cropping the barn would be the best approach. This decision gave the painting a whole new character.
