Paint Grand Traverse: A Plein Air Affair
In August 2018, Crooked Tree Arts Center will host Paint Grand Traverse, a six day plein air painting festival featuring top artists from across the country. The inaugural event will take place August 13-18, 2018.
The Grand Traverse region is located in northwest lower Michigan, and is known the world over for its gorgeous scenery, hundreds of miles of Lake Michigan coast, and historic small towns and villages. The largest of these, Traverse City, is nestled on the southern shore of West Grand Traverse Bay, and is home to Crooked Tree Arts Center - Traverse City.
The masters competition will feature 30-40 national-caliber artists who will participate by invitation and application. (Additional competitive and educational opportunities will be open to all).
