Biography

Tat got her formal education in fine art and interior design in Russia. From ages 11 to 15, she attended children's art school in addition to regular school classes. It was 4 hours of classes every day except weekends. After Art school at age 15 years old she left home and passed the exam to Art College. Next 4 years were hard but very interesting in her life. She learned a lot more about art and for the first time visited Hermitage where she saw the Impressionists for herself. She fell in love with some of them a lot and still does love them! Claude Monet and Auguste Renoir, Degas and Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh and Cezanne. And of course she was influenced by Russian masters such as: Surikov, Repin, Shishkin, Serebryakova, Kystodiev, Vrubel and many more. At age 19, she earned a bachelor's degree in fine art and interior design. 20 years worked as designer full-time, raised 2 boys in marriage and always wanted to paint but didn't really have time for it. In 2000, her second marriage brought her to the US..

After some time, she began to participate in juried art festivals nationwide. Later more and more she began attending plein air events and winning awards. These days Tat is doing primarily plein air events but attending 2 to 3 local juried Art Festivals. She is an award winner in numerous plein air events and art shows.
